Info Center of NGOs for the democratic and fair elections started its work on 14 August, 2000. Within the NGO pro-election campaigns for the democratic and fair elections EXIT 2000, and through its daily communication with NGOs participating in the campaign, the Info Center will: 1) Collect information from local NGOs about their specific planning of pro-election actions; 2) Inform general public on campaigns conducted in the field and possible problems in their realization; 3) Establish daily, weekly and monthly plan of activities (calendar); 4) Prepare the newsletter of the campaign; 5) Help local NGOs to design and prepare for printing their slogans, posters and other campaign products; 6) Collect documentation, compile an archive of NGO campaigns and collect press clipping; 7) Coordinate NGO campaigns with the Central Election Headquarters of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia. Coordinators of the Info Center are the Center for Democracy Foundation, Center for the Development of Non-Profit Sector and Civic Initiatives. Info Center consists of four teams: 1) Communication with NGOs in the field, 2) Relations with the media (carried out by the Center for Democracy Foundation and the Center for the Development of Non-Profit Sector at the Center for Democracy Foundation); 3) Promotion of the campaigns (Civic Initiative); 4) Documentation and archive (the Center for the Development of Non-Profit Sector, Center for Democracy Foundation and Civic Initiatives). The presentation of NGO campaignsThe Info Center of Non-Governmental Organizations for the Democratic and Fair Elections, organizes, in cooperation with the Media Center, regular Sunday press conferences aimed at presenting the campaigns of the local NGOs for an increased election participation. The conferences will be held each Wednesday at 11 A.M., in the period from August 23 to September 20, at the Media Center, Makedonska 5/II. The non-governmental organizations from various regions will have the opportunity to present their campaigns, actions and promotional material related to these campaigns. Each conference will be a unique opportunity for presenting local NGOs and campaigns to the national media. Organizations interested in participating in these conferences may contact the Info Center Media Team. |
